Based on this, the specialists asked 40 participants to collect the fractionated ejaculate in two boats, one for each phase. In this way, they separated the first and second phase and studied the characteristics of the sperm in each of them. The data suggests that the first part has an improved subpopulation of sperm, with less DNA fragmentation. Therefore, the use of sperm from this fraction can have a positive effect on fertilization and embryonic development.
The liquid expelled during ejaculation is composed of several fragments, distributed in a pre-ejaculatory phase, first and second fraction of the ejaculate.
