Arrow posture The traditional Massive Yoga Class that the Government of Mexico City promotes every Sunday, brought together older adults – from different demarcations -, youth and children in Paseo de la Reforma.
With Diana Cazadora as a witness, at 08:30 the physical activation of the attendees began with the chanting of mantras, whose objective is relaxation and preparation to perform the various positions that are developed in this discipline.

The slogan “the body is the bow, the posture the arrow and the soul the goal” inspired attendees to carry out exercises such as Tadasana or mountain pose, which represents the starting point of any position, while Urdhva Hastasana and Urdhva Baddhanguliyasana are aimed at practicing stretching and expansion of the mind.
The main objective of today’s routine was to control breathing, relax by extending arms and legs and “feel proud” with the body and mind. Rosa Icela Rodríguez, secretary of Social Development of CDMX (Sedeso) and the director participated in this class. Rocío Bárcenas from the Institute for the Care of Older Adults (IAAM), who carried out each of the exercises indicated by the instructors.
Both officials emphasized the importance of regularly attending these classes, to promote the physical activation of the inhabitants of the capital since their constant practice gives great benefits to health.
